About Chef Stephanie Hand

Chef Stephanie began her career as a barista in a local coffee shop at age 14, and quickly developed a passion for quality coffee and food. After 4 years under her belt, she went full force into expanding her education by obtaining an associates in Restaurant Management and Culinary Arts at Butler Community College (AOS). Soon after, she was on her way to New York where she obtained a Culinary degree at The Culinary Institute of America (BPS, AAS). Chef Stephanie has enjoyed traveling around the world to study food, cultures, and the arts, including Southeast Asia, China, Costa Rica, Mexico, Canada, and much of Europe. She is inspired by exotic foods and flavors, and uses that inspiration to inform her delicious recipes. Now that Stephanie has returned to Wichita, where she was born and raised, she enjoys expanding her culinary garden at home, hopefully adding chickens in the near future.

Someday, I’d love to have a fully sustainable farm to support my restaurant.”
— Chef Stephanie Hand

Reverie Roasters gained Chef Stephanie in May of 2016, joining our team of talented baristas, roasters, and managers. She quickly raised the bar for our food offerings by starting a from-scratch menu of scones, muffins, turnovers, and cookies. Since then, she has received awards such as the "Most Creative Use of Chocolate" for her submission of a from-scratch Tim Tam Slam, for Death by Chocolate 2017. Chef Stephanie will be expanding her role with Reverie, to Executive Chef of Reverie and Founders Bakery, in late 2017. We are honored to have her "can-do" spirit and friendly smile around, and her food...oh, her food...
