FILM: Meet Me at Magic Hour

In April, the Reverie Impact Cinema presents Meet Me at Magic Hour, a film by Monica Honey, one of Reverie’s own baristas! We’re featuring this film at the Tallgrass Film Center in celebration of Autism Awareness Month (April!) and in partnership with Wild Flower Community School, a unique school that values a parent’s choice in their child’s education that offers a new hybrid learning model with options for students and parents.

Monica unveiled her first full-length feature film at the 2024 Tallgrass Film Fest, receiving a loud reception from the packed audience. Meet Me at Magic Hour tells a story about navigating the tension in relationships by reimagining problems through the lens of various movie genres. A central theme of the story addresses the nuance of dealing with real-life scenarios and also being neurodivergent. Watching this film at the debut at Tallgrass Film Fest was felt close to my home in my family and I felt many other friends and fans of Reverie may find a strong connection to the characters and the message related to autism.

We chose to partner with Wild Flower Community School because of their relentless effort and grassroots approach to providing quality education to families and kids that find the traditional pathway less successful. The school is a major supporter of our marginalized individuals, specifically the LGBTQIA+ community, and we are grateful for the emphasis they place on creating an inclusive learning center.

We feature a film every 2nd Thursday, and we want you to join us! Tickets are limited; there’s only 30 seats available. And it’s only $12, or Free for Tallgrass Film Festival members. Here’s the details:
